Shadow and Bevin were down in the Mess Hall setting up nearly three dozen ice cream makers each with a different flavor in the cans that were spinning in their ice baths.

A table alongside the tubs of ice cream held all sorts of toppings as well as several kinds of cones and bowls with spoons for eating the frozen confections.

Then Nine returned to hers eat on the bench next to Denovan if he was still there. She then took a bite of her own bowl of ice cream.::
